Meet Us

Dr. Crossland, a native Texan, joined Black Hills Oral Surgery in 2006. He earned a B.A. degree from the University of Massachusetts. He then received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Baylor College of Dentistry, a member of the Texas A & M University System Health Science Center. Dr. Crossland completed his specialty training in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, a level-one regional trauma center serving Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana.
Dr. Van Dam joined Black Hills Oral Surgery in 2007. He completed his dental training at Creighton University and received his medical and surgical training at the Mayo Clinic. He is Board Certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and is a member of the American Dental Association, the South Dakota Dental Association, the American Medical Association, the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, and member and past president of the Black Hills District Dental Society.
Dr. Morgan joined Black Hills Oral Surgery in 2012 after completing his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville. Dr. Morgan completed his undergraduate education in Salt Lake City, Utah, receiving his bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Westminster College. He then trained in dentistry at the University of Kentucky, College of Dentistry in Lexington. He is Board Certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Diplomate of the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology, and a Fellow of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology.

Dr. Richman joined Black Hills Oral Surgery in 2015. He completed his undergraduate degree at Idaho State University in Pocatello, Idaho where he received a tennis scholarship and graduated with honors. He was trained in dentistry at the Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, and then went on to complete his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. He is Board Certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

Dr. George joined Black Hills Oral Surgery in 2025. He was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. He completed his undergraduate degree (BA) at Brigham Young University and his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Tufts University in Boston, Massachusetts on a scholarship from the United States Army. He then completed his specialty training in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the San Antonio Military Medical Center where he achieved proficiency in the full scope of oral & maxillofacial surgery procedures.

Dr. Cody Christensen joined Black Hills Oral Surgery in 2025, bringing over a decade of experience in general dentistry and oral and maxillofacial surgery. Originally from Utah, he completed his undergraduate studies at Utah Valley University and earned his DDS from the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry as a United States Air Force scholarship recipient. After extensive military training and service—including roles as a general dentist and oral and maxillofacial surgeon at multiple Air Force bases.
