Meet Brian R. Richman, D.D.S.
Oral Surgeon in Rapid City, SD

Dr. Richman joined Black Hills Oral Surgery in 2015. He completed his undergraduate degree at Idaho State University in Pocatello, Idaho where he received a tennis scholarship and graduated with honors. He was trained in dentistry at the Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, and then went on to complete his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. He is Board Certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Dental Association, The South Dakota Dental Association, the Black Hills District Dental Society, the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, and the American Cleft Lip and Palate Association. He is an active member of the Medical Staff at Rapid City Regional Hospital and Same Day Surgery Center.
Dr. Richman completed a Cleft and Craniofacial Fellowship at the University of Tennessee/East Tennessee Children’s Hospital in Knoxville. He is the only cleft and craniofacial fellowship trained surgeon in the region, and is currently establishing a regional cleft team to provide care for children affected by cleft lip and palates.
Dr. Richman served a two year religious/humanitarian mission to Taiwan and speaks fluent Mandarin Chinese. He and his wife have three young children. They are excited to raise their family in Rapid City and look forward to being involved in the community. They enjoy golfing, tennis, boating, and spending time with family.
