Meet Dr. Cody J. Christensen D.D.S.

Dr. Cody Christensen joined Black Hills Oral Surgery in 2025. Originally from Utah, he has over a decade of experience in both general dentistry and oral and maxillofacial surgery. He completed his undergraduate studies at Utah Valley University before earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry, where he received a four-year scholarship from the United States Air Force.
Following dental school, Dr. Christensen completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry at Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas, Nevada. He then served as a general dentist for three years at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base in North Carolina.
Pursuing his passion for surgery, Dr. Christensen was selected for the San Antonio Military Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency program. He then served for four years as an oral and maxillofacial surgeon at Keesler Air Force Base in Biloxi, Mississippi, providing comprehensive surgical care to service members and their families.
Dr. Christensen is board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. His surgical interests include dental implant reconstruction, wisdom tooth removal, corrective jaw surgery, and outpatient anesthesia.
Outside of the office, Dr. Christensen enjoys spending time with his wife and their four children, exploring the outdoors, and being involved in the community.
